Floribama Shore Star Kirk Medas Dies at 33 After Health Battle
Kirk Medas, a fan-favorite from MTV’s Floribama Shore, has died at age 33. His father confirmed the cause as liver failure, following complications from necrotizing pancreatitis, a severe and rare condition that led to Medas being placed on a ventilator in the ICU for nearly two weeks.
The news comes just hours after former castmates Candace Rice Hall and Nilsa Prowant publicly pleaded for support and prayers. A GoFundMe campaign, initially launched for medical expenses, has now been updated to assist with funeral arrangements and has raised over $27,000.

Medas appeared in 25 episodes of Floribama Shore between 2017 and 2020, known for his humor, warmth, and ability to bring people together. Friends and castmates described him as “the glue” of their group, praising his heart, kindness, and unwavering support.
MTV issued a statement mourning the “tragic passing” of Medas, calling him a “beloved member of the Floribama Shore family.”
